Transfer Questions

I might want to apply to UCLA as a Fall 2009 transfer student. I plan to apply in September. On the website, it states you need 60 or more credits completed by the end of the spring term before you transfer. By the end of my Fall 2008 semester, I will have 52 credits(that includes 6 college credits I’ve taken in high school). So here’s my questions…

Does UCLA count college courses you’ve taken in high school?

I will have 46 credits in Fall if the high school ones don’t count. Will I still be eligible to apply? In Spring 2009, I’ll be in the process of getting pass 60 credits while they are looking at my application. At the end of the Spring 2009 term, I will have passed 60 credits.

If the college courses I’ve taken in high school do count, do I need to take 8 more credits during the 2008 Winter term to get up to 60 credits and then send that new transcript to UCLA?

I’m alittle bit confused on the whole process. It would be nice if someone can clear it up for me.

Why would the high school ones not count? I took community college courses while still in HS and they counted.

Why not just take 14 units in spring 09 if you're that worried?

I am going to take credits in Spring. I was just asking if I needed 60 credits when I apply.

you don't need 60 units when you apply. But, it's very important to check with the school if they count for some of your classes. I have a friend who got 62 units at the end of this spring, but UCLA didn't count 1 of her classes and then .... got rejected (Cal counted for that class by the way!!! and she got into Cal) .
