Hello, I am a senior in high school but unfortunately I do not have the stats to get in to Georgetown(tough schedule at competitive high school but bad freshman and sophmore grades). Anyway Georgetown is still my dream school for political science. I am considering going to another university for a year and half or 2 years and then transfer to Georgetown. My question concerns what Georgetown looks for in a transfer applicant. I am considering American and pretty good state schools(Georgia and Georgia Tech) to transfer from. Would it be better to go to a school that Georgetown may recieve more transfer applicants from(American) or would it just not make much of a difference. The reason I am asking is because American doesnt seem worth the cost if it has the same reputation as Georgia or Tech to Georgetown. Im also applying to University of Michigan and Wisconsin-Madison but if I get in there I will stay.

So in summary I want to know which undergraduate schools will give me the best chance to get into Georgetown as a transfer and what I have to do in addition to getting good grades in order to be a competitive transfer applicant. Thanks.
