Transfer rates?

What are the acceptance rates for Georgetown and NYU? I've looked everywhere on the web but can't seem to find any information on this.

Also, the rates for Stern and McDonough, if aware?

I read somewhere that there was an approximately 25%-30% acceptance rate for transfers at georgetown..... someone might correct me on that though

NYU averages about 30%. Stern is much lower though.

yes, for 2005-2006 NYU was at 29% overall.

does anyone know where to find WUSTL's and Columbia's?

College board has transfer rates for many colleges.

Columbia:
<a href="http://apps.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=3853&profileId=1%5B/url%5D">http://apps.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=3853&profileId=1</a>

Transfer Students

* Total number of transfer students who applied: 1,223
* Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 78

For goergetown business school, college website actually tells you the stat.

Here is the link:
<a href="http://msb.georgetown.edu/prospective/undergraduate/admissions/transfer/%5B/url%5D">http://msb.georgetown.edu/prospective/undergraduate/admissions/transfer/</a></p>

During my Georgetown transfer interview session my interviewer said the chances were something in the ballpark of 1 in 3 get accepted? So I thought that was kind of cool.

Latest transfer rates that I've found for those schools:

Georgetown - 25% (overall, MSB is higher than College)
NYU - 30%
Columbia - 5%
WashU - 25%

25% for WUSTL? thats somewhat good news. thanks.

yeah that's for 2006 (College Board). I don't know what the acceptance rate will be for this year, and they didn't indicate that information in the acceptance letter as they hadn't received all applications or made all decisions yet. Judging by the overenrollment that's been taking place at WashU and other schools, I'd guess it'll be between 20-25%.

seems as though every school got record numbers this year, I'm sure next year will be the same. I expect all of these to be down about 3-5% by the time I try to transfer.

why already think about transferring AdamM?? are you in college yet??

yeah, I am in community college but I am planning on transfering after my sophmore year. I want to build up a nice GPA, and get to more advanced classes (like calc 2 and advanced econ) out before I send my transcripts. I also want to take the time to get in some ECs because I really was not very involved in highschool and I want my college work to show I've really made a turn around. The reason I'm already thinking about it is because I wasn't interested in college right out of highschool but I love the search and trying as hard as I can to see where I can be! its motivating and interesting. The earlier I know where to aim for, the soon I can shoot for it.

Is that 30% overall the average for Stern over the years or a recent average of all the schools at NYU? I haven't been able to find school-specific stats for NYU anywhere.

30% is overall.

For 2006, I'm pretty sure Stern reported offering admission to 28% of applicants. So it's true: most of the schools within NYU have around a 30% admission rate for transfers, including CAS and Stern.
