Of course we are happy for those who are accepted on the first attempt. Those of you in that fortunate group have a spot that (too) many wanted, so use it wisely. Please don’t rub it in over here - that would just be mean.
As encouragement, I’m sure we could use some success stories from those who applied more than once and finally were approved. That would be helpful.
This is a thread for those who were declined admission (once or more) to talk about how reapplying, beefing up one’s application, etc. You have company. Do not feel alone or sink into despair. Many gifted applicants are asking, "WTH, what was wrong with me? " Likely nothing is wrong with you. In the end UT might not be a good fit. You may find a better fit, but should you be reapplying, let’s support those choices, here.
