Transfer Requirements

Hello I am currently freshman attending De Anza community college and have lean towards the path of becoming a pharmacist. To be blunt I want to have a good salary and I also enjoy the wonder of science.

I am taking 3 classes this Fall (quarter based) which are the following:

EWRT 211(PREP READ/WRIT SKILLS)
HUMI D001 (CREATIVE MINDS)
MATH D041 (PRECALC I: THEORY AND FUNCTION)

I am planning to take the prerequisite class in order to take Chem to follow the Pre pharm

Here is the transfer requirement to get into UCSF

ASSIST Report: DAC 07-08 UCSFP Articulation Agreement by Major

How long do you think I will take to actually meet this requirements?

I really don't have a clue what I am doing schedule wise and am planning to meet with the counselors when school start.

at least three years, including summer, if you want to get high GPA, and secure your chance.

Pay attentions to physics, dont take Newtons, or Luna

There are UCs representative coming to school throughout the year, talk to them.
For English, go to writing center.

Focus on the courses that have course number from 1-49 , since it counts on your admission GPA

Those are a ton of things you need to do…

I would take my time and plan the next three years of your academic career. Taking organic chem, biology, physics, and calculus in one semester/quarter is too hard for 98% of us…

And besides staying three years (with proper class planning) almost guarantees yourself a better GPA then trying to squeeze this out in two years…

I would stick to the plan you make then apply next fall for Fall 2012 admission, if you get in and decide you wanna go there do it. If not, then you don’t lose anything except for a little bit of money and continue with the plan. (I have a friend who did something very similar to this and eventually got into the schools he wanted to)
