Transfer rules for AP credit

Hi y’all. I am currently in my first year of being at a california cc. because i passed 7 AP tests and took 3 classes at a cc during hs, i have 34 semester units. I already know that i can use these credits and apply for fall 2018 to UCs because i will reach 60 units. But i was wondering if i can also apply to schools like brown, cornell, upenn, and uchicago. I know these schools do not accept AP credit, but i also know that you dont need 60 units to apply. my question is, can i still apply even though i am not taking english 101 and other pre reqs because my ap classes satisfy them?

Colleges have web sites detailing their AP policies. You may want to read them. Of course, you may also want to read their requirements for transfer admission.
