do transfer students get the chance to get football tickets w/ their friends? do they get the same privelege as current nd students, and get the opportunity to get tickets to 2 games for their parents?

is there transfer student orientation, so we can get to know other transfers? (im transferring in as a junior)

Transfer students do get to get tickets with their friends just like any other students. However, with the parent tickets, I wasn't able to get them my first year (not like I tried to hard) because I was accepted after the deadline for parent applications. However, if you get in touch with the ticket office, I bet you can work something out. I think you will find that everyone at ND is very understanding and helpful to transfers; it really is a great place to transfer to!

There is a transfer orientation, no worries (I thought it was good as well, and I do know many of the people running it and they are good people).

14 unless you really are going to eat breakfast every day!

Getting in your classes is a bit of a pain because everyone else has registered and you may have to run around and get overrides into the classes that you want. It works, but it may be stressful. Just relax do your best, and go with the flow and it will all work out. Just know going in that it may be a few days of running around extremely stressed.

If you don't get housing on-campus get in touch; I spent my first semester off-campus so I can help you with that if you need it. Good luck!

sooo housing lottery is tomorrow but apparently pretty much noone is going to get housing from the waitlist. my parents said they arent going to pay for ND if i cant get on campus housing or something very very quiet and sufficient offcampus (they claim they looked up TC and heard bad things, so thats not an option), but very close to campus.

input? i definitely am not gonna be sleeping tonight..

Did your parents email me about TC, lol? Someone emailed me a few days ago asking me about their son, I bet that was them. If you don't get it, I know of plenty of good places that are off-campus; it really isn't all that bad! I lived at Castle Point, which was fine, and Clover Ridge would also be fine. Do see if they emailed me though, that would be funny if I was the person that they heard bad things from.

Agree with Clover Ridge. Right off campus close to where TC is but far enough away to not have to deal with the TC noise. I believe I heard once that there's a no keg rule there so you don't have to worry about loud parties going on (but I'm not sure if this is true).

Castle Point is a decent distance from campus (3 miles I believe) so it might not be the best idea if you plan on living there through the winter. But it's incredibly quiet and the landlords don't put up with partiers like other complexes. Some people I knew threw some small parties there and almost got evicted.

May I also suggest College Park Apartments. It's pretty close to campus.
