I got a Guaranteed Transfer to Cornell for Fall 2007 with a 1340 on the SAT's. Because I know I have Cornell secured for transfer I will want to apply to other schools like or better than Cornell like Chicago and Penn. Is it worth taking the SAT's again in say June and scoring say a 1440? will this help my chances applying as a transfer to other schools or is only my first year college work considered and SAT's have no role, what should I do?

SAT's do have a role in transfer admissions, although your college GPA is more important.

The SAT has changed and the maximum score now is 2400 and not 1600. So, I dunno where a 1440 would take you ;-) jk.

Some colleges do not consider SAT's taken after you have graduated from high school. You might want to check up with the specific colleges you are applying to.

doubtful that it matters, i got into some pretty good schools with a 2100, which is lower than their average for freshman admissions. i think SATs are just supposed to be an indicator of how well you'll do in college, and they have a much better way to gauge how well you've done in college by the time you're applying to transfer.
