Transfer scholarships?

Has anyone who submitted the transfer scholarship application received word yet? If not, please post here if/when you do!

I did the transfer scholarship application. I was told that if you already received your aid package and you didn’t get anything it means you didn’t get any scholarships (which means I did it for nothing).

I was granted a “University Tuition Grant - Transfer” for $2964 and work-study package for $3000. My EFC was $5952.

I got that same grant for about $2400. No work study for me. I don’t think that’s a scholarship though. My EFC was about $6200.

Yeah, that grant is just a grant from UT. Is there a statistic on how many transfers actually get that scholarship?

I didn’t get a dime because of my EFC.

I got the University Tuition Grant, too. Also, I have my Terry Transfer Scholarship interview this Wednesday.

I was offered Work Study, but I won’t be taking it because Work Study kinda sucks if you actually need to work to actually pay your bills. You can only earn up to the grant amount, and most of those work study jobs pay just above minimum wage. I already make way more money at my current job.

Yes, I received the standard UT Tuition grant, PELL grant, etc. But it is my understanding that additional scholarship awards (as in “special” awards resulting from transfer scholarship app) come separately. CA$H page just says my app has been received and award recipients are typically notified in June-July. fingers crossed Still kicking myself for missing Texas Exes app deadline.

Also, I’m pretty sure the standard UT grant that came with initial FA package is awarded to every in-state resident who completed a FASFA, strictly need-based (read: EFC-dependent) and is less a “grant” than it is a discount, so to speak.

When I contacted the financial aid office they told me that the scholarship committees had already sent out reward notifications and if nothing popped up then you didn’t get anything.
