Transfer Scholarships?

I’m transferring in the fall for my junior year, i’m a civil engineering major. I accepted my offer about a month ago and online it says that notification of any scholarships will be sent out in early March. I haven’t gotten anything :frowning: I’m transferring with a 3.79 GPA. if high school accolades are taken into account, I had a 33 ACT and 3.8 GPA there.

On the website the only transfer scholarship I see is the University of Illinois Transfer Scholarship, which says it’s for high achieving students transferring from an Illinois community college, which is what I’m doing. I thought I’d for sure qualify for this one, but I haven’t heard anything.

My parents are really on me about applying for scholarships. I’ve done a handful of outside applications, but I don’t see much I could do from the University. Any advice???

Thank you!!!

anyone?

Transfer scholarships at UIUC are very limited. There aren’t a lot of them, and most of them are departmental.

It said early March for scholarship notification, but I’m guessing that applied to the freshman class. They aren’t even done with decisions on transfer applications until mid-April, so there’s a good chance that scholarships for transfer students are still being prepared. You can always call the financial aid office to inquire.

Pure Merit scholarships are few and far between even for entering freshman. I doubt there are many if any for transfers. There are scholarships you can apply for once you are a student, but in engineering you better be a top student.
