Hi! Fellow rising sophomore here. I don’t know too much about what they look for in a transfer applicant, but since Conn College has an acceptance rate and many other stats similar to Trin’s, you definitely have a chance.

Just a heads up: If you do end up coming to Trinity, we don’t have a math or stats minor, but I’m sure you can set something up with profs or consider the Models and Data minor. You can also consider a double major, since our math major only requires 11 courses, you’re done with 2 (calc I and II), and one of the 4 math electives can be satisfied by a higher level chem course.

I’d say you could think about what your possible weaknesses were when you applied in high school and see if those have improved in college. I know your GPA certainly has and that’s awesome, and there might be other improvements that I don’t know about that will secure your spot. Whatever the case, I think admissions will take into account the fact that you’re doing well academically in another great liberal arts college, which tells them that you can succeed at Trinity too. The rest is up to what the admissions team values, and a little more of a gamble. I think you do have a chance though, so if you want to be a Trinity student, give it a try!

Sorry for being vague. I hope you are at least feeling more secure that someone else thinks you should go for it!
