Transfer Statistics

If you transferred can you post what your gpa was and which program you got accepted into. im trying to get an idea of average gpa's and such. thank you!

no transfer students get on this site?

If i dont get into business but in the school i dont think i'll even go.

I definitely won't be able to hold a 3.5 GPA in college, especially at UT

My friend transferred from UT San Antonio with a 3.94, she's doing Pre-med. She now has a 3.6 I think. All the other guys I know came here with 4.0's or something close to it.

Last year, son's friend tried to transfer into natural sciences from Tulane (with Katrina semester at Rice) with a 3.4 and was rejected.

Only one I know.

I had a 3.87 and 33 hours from UTSA after one year (not too mention Honors College and President;s list) and was denied admission into McCombs but accepted into Liberal Arts, my reccomendation would be to set your 2nd choice major as either natural sciences or liberal arts beacuse those are the easiest

Just out of curiosity, did you "transfer" from UTSA or did you CAP in? Because it's my understanding that they are two completely different admissions standards.

And regardless of the choices you rank, ALL applicants are considered for undeclared liberal arts, even if they don't rank COLA as one of their two choices.

BTW transferring from another college to McCombs is INCREDIBLY difficult. For Texas residents, 119 of 554 applicants were accepted (every one of whom chose to enroll at McCombs). The median GPA for accepted students was a 3.82.

For out of state students, 14 of 155 were accepted (less than ten percent), and these students had a GPA of 3.79. 31 of 210 international students were accepted, and had an average GPA of 3.9 at US colleges.
