Checked with admissions on Friday... said to check Wolfpaw this coming Sunday afternoon for decision. Transfer application in since late Jan. Applying to Engineering. AS in Engineering from community college instate. AP credits and 3.3 GPA. Got notice this morning... ACCEPTED!!! Good luck everyone!!

Congratulations on your acceptance! If you don’t mind me asking, which major within the SOE did you apply for? And what kind of math and physics have you completed before this semester?

Applied to Computer Science. I had AP credit for Calc and comp sci. I took the pre-eng classes required for transfer to NCSU. I had completed the math requirement. State requires the average between the 2 maths to be 3.0. I also had the first physics class completed. Taking linear algebra and physics II this semester.

Congratulations with your acceptance! I have a quick question if you don’t mind, I applied to the Poole college at NCSU for this fall. I’ll end up with a 3.66 with 32 hour credits. What do you think my chances are? I’ll also end up with a C in calculus so idk if that will harm chances. Thanks!

Personally I think you have a great chance. This is the Management School right? The math average I spoke of was just for matriculation to engineering. Each School at State has specific requirements that may be above the GER’s. Check their page for transfer requirements. I recommend calling or visiting the transfer advisors at the Joyner Center. I found them very helpful. Call admissions frequently too! Good luck to you! And, if for some reason you do not get in the advisors will tell you exactly what you need to do to make it happen!

Tranfer013: I have a friend who transferred into Poole with 3.1 (44 credits) so you don’t have a thing to worry about. Just make sure your application is complete and if you are taking any classes this spring, don’t forget to turn in your grades.

gopack05: Yes, that is correct, the management school. Thanks for your reply, I checked the requirements and I believe I meet all of them. I took an English class last semester, which is enough to meet the requirement and I’m taking calculus now which is all they need. Thanks!! Very helpful.

wmr010: That is so relieving to hear. I’m just nervous since I’m constantly thinking that they won’t have enough room for this upcoming fall. Looks like my chances are good. By any chance, do you know when your friend heard back from them? My final grades won’t be finished until May 10th, so it’s a little stressful trying to guess when they come up with their decision.

Transfer013: Its been almost 3 weeks since he heard of his acceptance but that’s because he applied in mid January and all of his pre-reqs were already completed before Spring’13.

wmr010: Got it! Thanks for all of your feedback. I won’t be finding out then until late May sounds like.

Just found out yesterday that I’m ACCEPTED(: I also had a 3.2 and was accepted into the genetics program for the fall. I applied in late january.

I turned in my application around Mid/late March (I know, a bit late…), but I was wondering if I would still find out late May or later? My current status is still “Under Review” and it’s scheduled to be looked at…

Is anyone in the same situation as me? :S

@FrankenFreak: How long has it been that way (Under review)?

2 weeks, I believe. It’s was “Submitted” for around an entire month

You can always call undergrad admissions office and they can give you an insight but i think it shouldn’t take them too long as class of 2017 has already been finalized and now all they’re dealing with are transfers

Thank you for your feedback! I’ll just wait a few days longer, and if the status hasn’t changed yet I’ll just call the office

Good luck with everything! btw, do you have a transfer evaluation summary posted on your wolfpaw page?

Thanks! Where do I find it?

it should be right under your student id number when you log into wolfpaw and click application status from the list on the left

All it tells me is the Application Fee status…

Mine went into this status yesterday: “Under Review: Your application package is complete (nothing is missing). It has been forwarded for evaluation for an admissions decision.”

Hopefully I’ll know in a few days.
