Transfer student as freshman

So I'm transferring to a university in the fall and I am classify as a freshman. I went to two different 2 year college. The only classes that transferred are my basics ( English, math, etc.)
So I feel like I wasted two years of college. So my goal is to graduate in 3 years, 1 year late. Should I or should I just go for 4 years ?

What do you mean by “The only classes that transferred are my basics ( English, math, etc.)”? How many courses did transfer? Are all of your general education requirements fulfilled or not? What courses remain to be completed for your major?

You also need to know that many places will classify transfers as freshmen until all of their coursework has been fully evaluated. For example Math, English and History may transfer easily, but something specific to your major may need to be negotiated with your department.

Look up the requirements for your major, and any other specific university requirements that you didn’t fulfill with your transfer credits. Make out a fake schedule for each semester and see how long it might take you to graduate. If you need 90 more semester hours, you can easily graduate in three years - maybe less if you take some classes in the summer or if you have no trouble with 20 credits in a semester.
