Transfer student. Chance please.

Hi. I will be a second year student at a community college this September. I want to apply for Emory for the next fall semester. Do you think I can get in?

HS:
Major (my high school had majors): Medical
GPA: 3.1 (I messed around a lot)
Extracurriculars:
Red cross youth council member, hospice volunteer, tae kwon do black belt, various minor club activities
Job experience: 1 year at a supermarket
AP: comp sci 4, stats 4, calc ab 4, psych 4, one more ap but not sure which. Got a 4.
IB: Spanish sl 3

College:
Major: Natural sciences, general curriculum
GPA: 3.9
Extracurriculars:
Honors association board member
Phi Theta Kappa treasurer
STEM club member
Job experience: Notetaker/student aid for blind/handicapped/autistic students. Legal assistant.

Recommendation letter- good
College essay- strong.

What I’m really worried about is my high school GPA and that I’m transferring from a community college, not a 4 year college. I’ll be graduating with an associates degree and transferring right after.

What do you guys think?

Huh? You do know that Oxford students come in with an Associates and that many people who come to Emory come from community colleges like Georgia Perimeter and others? As long as you are academically competent (as a 3.9 science GPA would indicate) and are actually telling the truth about your rec. letters and essay (as in, the adcoms think the same), you should be good.
