TRANSFER student chance thread.

Hello,

I am trying (applied and applying) to transfer for Fall 2009:

Right now I go to a community college in Southern California.
Here are the schools I have applied to:
UCLA
UCB
UCSD
UC Santa Barbara

I also plan on applying to Johns Hopkins, Cornell, Columbia (General Studies), and possibly Brown.

Here are my stats:

3.8 college GPA
Involved in Honors Program and will have completed by transfer (19 units of honors credit)
Major: Int. Relations/Global Studies/Peace and Conflict Studies/Political Science (depending on school)

Went to Paris and studied French for a Summer at the Sorbonne.

Haven't taken the SAT yet, but plan on doing so next month :s

As far EC and/or personal circumstances:
first person in my immediate family to go to college.
worked continuously since age 15.
Served as Poll Worker
Tutor low-income children
blah blah.

One of the problems I may face, at least in regards to the private schools, is that my first two years of high school were disgusting. However, by my Junior year I had turned 2.0 semesters into 3.8/4.0 semesters.

Let me know, what do you think?
