Hello, Im applying to USF for fall 2013 as a transfer student. My GPA is a 3.85. After this spring semester ends I will only need 3 more classes to take to get my AA degree which I will finish summer term. Im also in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Quick question, i will be applying to USF next week, will they need my final transcripts to make a decision or could i get a decision first without sending the final transcripts?? because i wouldnt be getting final transcripts until most likely August.....? any advice is appreciated! thanks :) Anyways, what do you think about my chances of getting in?

Your GPA is excellent, congrats! I would guess you will be admitted to any USF upper division sequence. As a minimum, USF will probably want to see your spring semester grades before making an accepted decision conditional on you completing your summer semester to USF’s satisfaction. Some USF upper division programs are limited access and more competitive. So you can better plan, phone USF admissions for a timetable on a decision, they do rolling admissions and make decision after your file is completed, but when the file is completed is the million dollar question leaving applicants up in the air on when they’ll get admission decision. Some of the USF individual colleges offer information sessions on campus about their upper division programs–if you can attend one of them, they should be able to answer about gaining admission and timeframe.

Bottom line, phone USF admissions AND also the College you want to do upper division studies and ask for decision timeframe.
