2 June 2010 is the start of the estimated dates for posting of admission decisions for University Transfers from Canadian institutions. Does anyone get admitted already? What's your grade?

I transferred to mcgill last year, so things probably haven’t changed much since then. My gpa in first year (i was at concordia) was not so awesome (3.4) but my high school grades were quite good, i think that’s what got me in really. It is pretty long for transfer decisions i feel, transfer students “are often considered exceptionally and on the basis of space available” so the admissions office will see thousands of “regular admissions” before looking at yours. I was waitlisted mid-june and admitted early-mid august, so it does take a little while…

I’ve applied to McGill for a transfer, and two days ago my Status changed to: Reviewed: Pending Decision.

I’m trying to transfer into the 2nd year.

In my first year of College, at Kwantlen, my overall GPA is 3.61. First term was 3.46, second term was 3.73.

Are my chances high? I really need a decision soon from McGill. I’ve already been accepted into the University of British Columbia and have until July 15 to accept their offer, but I don’t want to miss out on McGill.

Pending decision –> you should get an update quite soon. Just wait a bit and you should see what’s up. first year gpa matters, but high school weighs in a bit too i think, so it’s hard to tell. July 15 is a month from now, you will probably know by then.

My Status is still “Ready for review”. I think my First year GPA is 3.87/4. I don’t think its enough but sill keeping my fingers cross.
