transfer student - housing

i'm a fall 2010 transfer who is currently waiting on the "standby list" for a spot in the hercules/nike community. i was wondering if anyone else is/was put in this situation? how long will i have to wait for until something comes up? is it hopeless?

and if worst comes to worst, then what other off-campus alternatives do i have? i looked into pegasus landing and i considered it until i found out they only have yearly leases. are there any places that offer academic/9-month leases instead? ideally i would like to live somewhere as close as possible to the campus since i don't have a car.

Hey, I have a lease in Pegasus Landing that I need to sell! Its a 3/3 apartment. I’ll pay for all the move-in fees! This apartment complex is conveniently located across the street from UCF!
Message me back if your interested!

I’m on the same list for the same housing. On the housing.ucf.edu site, it says that if you’re on stand-by you’ll probably be notified by July/August of a space.

Outside of Pegasus Pointe/Landing, there’s The Edge which is fairly close to UCF. I’m not sure about the leases though.
