Transfer student in a dilemna

<p>Hello, I am an intl transfer student. I did my 1st year of undergrad from UK, and I am trying to transfer to the US for fall 2011. I am applying to a variety of schools (ivies, top lacs and some public unis). </p>

<p>Nowadays, I am trying to write my transfer essay (reason for transferring and objectives you hope to meet). But, the problem im facing is that my basic reason for wanting to transfer is that I prefer US over Uk for college rather than wanting to be in a specific US college. Although I know quite a lot about colleges I am applying to and can write about what I find attractive about them;I am very confused over how to approach the whole issue about transferring from another country. </p>

<p>If anyone has successfully transferred from abroad, PLEASE help me out! Advice from US transfer students and anyone who has an insight on this issue will be greatly welcomed as well:)</p>

<p>What do you think you can get out of a US education that you aren’t getting at your current university?</p>

<p>Well, I don’t like the social scene in the UK, plus the weather. I feel it’ll be easier for me to adopt to life in US than I have in UK. I like the education system in US ( LAC compared to a big uni im currently studying at). Financial reasons as well:)</p>
