Hello,

I am currently a Managemnt major at Virginia Tech. I will be a junior this fall semester.

I recently had an epiphany and I am considering switching to atmospheric sciences which will require me to transfer to a new school that offers that. PSU is my main choice right now because I am from PA and will get in-state tuition.

My question is, what are my chances to being accepted into this program?

I have a 3.7 gpa after two years. Unfortunately my father already paid my semester tuition at Va Tech so I will have to be there at least this semester. I also will need to take several calculus courses in order to transfer in, since my business path lacked the necessary maths.

My last question is, for the required math courses I need in order to be able to transfer, do they need to be completed prior to sending in my transcripts? The deadline for applying to spring semester is November 1st. I obviously will not have them complete until December. Should I just forget about getting in for spring semester??

Thanks for all your help. I really have only two weeks to figure this out. Its killing my head alread thinking about the amount of work its going to take to figure out wat transfers and what not, and force adding classes down at tech, etc. etc., but if its what I want to do, I am going to go for it...
