I was offered an opportunity to live in morgan hall south which is probably one of the best dorms to live in on campus and it’s always been my first choice to live there. When I got accepted as a transfer, the only option for me was to live sort off campus (Beech International). I really loved my room but I found out there were roaches in my room, they seem to only come out when the exterminator sprays everything. Other than that though, I love my room. I have my own room and if/when I get a roommate, she has her own room as well and it’s great.
So, because of the roach problem they decided they would put me in a different room in the building, because it seems like my room is the only room in the building with that problem. It isn’t as nice as my current room because it only has one window and the view isn’t amazing but it doesn’t have any roaches thank god.
Then, they found out another room opened up in Morgan Hall South yesterday, which is an all freshman area. Morgan North has all different kinds of people transfers, upperclassmen, some freshman.
They showed me the room yesterday and it’s really nice and it’s huge I loved the room. the view isn’t great but what can you do lol.
I would totally be okay with moving into this dorm but the thing is I would prefer to live with transfers/upperclassmen and I know that sounds prideful and ugh It’s just I feel like I’m giving up something at Beech. But then again I don’t have a roommate at Beech yet and I don’t know if I’m ever gonna get one at Beech but at morgan south there’s 3 freshman already there, I know it might be a good experience to move into the freshman dorm because I will get to meet people and everything it’s just idk I would feel better if the whole part of the building wasn’t just freshman you know? And I know freshman and transfers are first year students in general I just need some help I’m bad at making decisions.
Does anyone have any experience with these two places (Beech/Morgan Hall) or in general have an experience of living in a freshman dorm?
Thanks!
