Transfer student, NEED ADVICE

Hello everyone,

This coming Fall will be my 2nd year at a local CC here in Northern California. I am hoping to apply for transfer to a top business school this coming fall. I would like to know, which business school I should look into. Here are some of my information..

GPA: 4.0
Credits: Almost 60

EC in School:
Senator for Associated Students Past*
Dir. of Finance for Associated Students Current*
President of International Business Association Current*
Honors Program Student Current*

EC Outside of School:
President of English Ministries (At church) Past*
Vice President of English Ministries (At church) Current*
Church Worship Team Leader
Internship at a Local Real Estate Firm Past*

Please recommend me a good Business School that I should be looking into. I do have some in mind, but I would like to know what you guys think.. ^^ Thank you!

Do you have SAT scores? Will you go anywhere in the Country? How much can your family afford to pay?

1) What schools are you trying to get into?
2) Are you applying for the 2011 fall admission?

If you live in California then I suggest applying to Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, or UCSF.

Thank you for your replies, I’ve never taken the SATs in hs… I am willing to go anywhere in the country and I’m willing to pay for whatever it costs even if it meant getting a loan. Only school I’ve actually looked into was Berkeley Haas. I am applying on 2011 Fall. I don’t think ucla has a undergrad b program same with ucsd or ucsf… I would like to go for a top notch b-school undergrad. Thanks guys =]

Go google, “Best undergraduate business”… then research the schools that you find. Find some that you think would be a good fit for your stats.

maybe search the forums too.

You can check out Urbana champaign, maryland college park and brigham young.

Berkeley sounds like a good choice, but Haas is very difficult to get into. Make sure you have all the pre reqs done. Also try to do some more business related activities.

Not having SATs will limit your choices, so you can take them or focus on schools that don’t require the. USC, Irvine and Riverside are possibilities.

You don’t have to major in business to get a job in business. Most don’t. You can study Econ anywhere or just about anything unless you want to be an accountant.

Pay attention to money, most people can’t just get a big loan. Nor should you want to as it can cripple your future. If you don’t have the ability to pay you can’t blindly apply to $50K plus schools that don’t meet financial need. So figuring out your EFC and paying attention to what schools give aid to transfers is key to a successful transfer. Good luck.
