Hey I am currently a sophomore double majoring in Political Science and Economics at DePaul University. I completed one semester at the University of Dayton and two quarters at DePaul University. I would like to transfer in January 2011 to Northwestern University, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, or University of Wisconsin at Madison. My grades are posted below. What do you think my chances are? Thanks I appreciate it.

My grades for two quarters at DePaul University:

GPA 3.58/4.0 (32 quarter hours)

My grades for the semester at University of Dayton:

You have a nice GPA history. I don’t think anyone can tell you your chances - which is why I don’t “do” Chances requests, myself.

As to which major will make it easier to be accepted, IDK if anyone can answer that (you might get lucky and someone who has transferred to those specific schools could know). Might not matter at all unless one of those majors is “impacted” at any of your schools.

If you have the opportunity to visit any of your schools, you could try to get a feel for whether any of them are seeking majors in any of those fields. Sometimes a school is kind of short on majors in a given field and, if that were the case, might help you.

Entering college as a first year student can be both intimidating and a bit challenging. When I entered my first year last year, I made the mistake of not attending the orientation for new students and for not being serious to attend the class. Little did I know there would be some extremely helpful information to help me get acquainted with the college and University. Now I am enrolled in girls boarding school before going to college or university next year again.
