Riverside has been notifying applicants starting march. Many transfer students have already received their acceptance. I have yet to receive mine. Many people were saying that if you haven’t gotten accepted yet then u are either rejected or on the wait list. Is this true?
Relax, UCR isn’t all that competitive of a school . I got in with roughly a 3.0 a few years back, and without 60 units ( a solid 13 CSU only units didn’t transfer, I didn’t think i’d go to a UC originally and between higher grad rates and etc I picked UCR ) I still got in. I had 55 and got a no pass in French my last semester at community college. Common sense should of told me to go to CSULB or SF State , but alas the past is the past.
What other schools did you apply for. I’m not going to actively try and discourage you from going, but please take a bus ride out there and walk around riverside for a bit. Just walk around the neighborhood. The campus has alot of fun events and is well done itself( you have a few hiking trails , and a botany garden), yet if your looking for a college town this isn’t it.
Also, UCR is known for it’s Sciences. I went for International Affairs so it’s not far for me to say it’s not a good school academically. BUT again please at least take a visit.
Last thing, don’t consider yourself out even if placed on a wait list. Many students apply to like 4 UCs and UCR isn’t their first pick. So if you really have you heart set on UCR just hold tight.
Thanks!!! I applied to 6 different uc’s UC irvine, UC San Diego, UC Santa barabara, UC riverside, UC Berkeley, UC Davis. UC riverside is my safe choice I just wanted to know if I even had a chance of getting in since the Uc’s are getting very competitive!
