Transfer student question on science courses

I'm a non-science major currently taking General Astronomy at my CC to fulfill GE requirements. I stated in my application that I would be taking the respective lab course (Observational Astronomy) during the summer, but I may not be able to take it as planned.

What options would UCI give me in this case? Would I have to retake the course at UCI along with the lab, may I take the lab alone, do I take the lab at another CC during the school year, or just not at all? I'm probably making it more complicated than it is...But in Assist.org, I looked through other CCs and some don't even require the lab for UCI GE.

If it's any help I'm also taking General Geology and the lab right now. I think I read somewhere that only one lab was required for GE?

Any help is appreciated...I've contacted a counselor but haven't been told a thing. It's been bugging me! Haha.

check www.assist.org and find the community college you're taking classes at, then see how those courses transfer over to uci.
