Transfer Student Question

I applied as a transfer student - GPA 3.2 and just today my status changed to “A decision has been made on your application. Note that decisions may not be provided over the phone. Please allow 7-10 days to receive an official letter from the Admissions office.”

I’ve read where some who were accepted show “Congratulations” so is that immediate or a couple days later? Also, I was told your transcript evaluation is posted in the portal only if you get accepted. Mine doesn’t have that so does that mean I was denied? :frowning: Or does it take a couple more days for that to be updated?

@coleman4 same thing for my app…can’t even view my decision. I’ve emailed admissions about it. Maybe they are still downloading everything. I don’t think you have gotten denied. Good luck.

How long ago did you apply? My application was complete at the beginning of February.

@lsp2015 for uncc? Mine was completed feb 17

@Gowolfpacks18 , yes UNCC. Has your notification changed to indicate they made a decision already?

@lsp2015 yeah it changed today. I just can’t find where to actually view my decision. I emailed admissions to ask but maybe it takes hours/days to formally get the letter online. Who knows tho.

Also ---- is uncc your first choice or safety??

Safety. I also applied to NCSU.

@lsp2015 yeah i thought I saw you on the thread I created about ncsu…I like both schools…will be a decision on who gives the most/better aid if accepted to both

Hey you guys. My portal said a decision was made when I checked it yesterday. Checked it again today and it has my acceptance. For reference: 3.78 GPA from cc, over 60 credits, philosophy major.

I have an acceptance. 60+ credits transferring in, 3.8 GPA from cc and university.

@lsp2015 good deal. Hoping we get the same outcome for nc state!!! 20 days or less. Let’s gooooooooo

@Gowolfpacks18 I know! I am definitely counting the days. I love UNCC, but I actually live in Raleigh and it would just be so much easier to not have to move. haha

@lsp2015 we are opposites! I live in Charlotte…the only thing that scares/bums me out about potentially going to Raleigh is that I’ll probably have to leave my car behind :frowning:

Hey for you transfers, what is the lowest GPA you heard of getting accepted as a transfer for UNCC? What if a transfer had bad grades in the past, but got good grades some years later after returning to community college? Is the application looked at holistically or is it really just GPA based? Any info you can share would be helpful thanks.
