Transfer student seeking Acting program. HELP!!

I'm a college sophomore at University of Missouri-St. Louis, currently enrolled as a Theatre and Dance major. The program here is small, undeveloped and subpar. And I'm scrambling to find a new school for the Fall 2010 semester.

I'm currently looking at U of I-Champaign and Webster in St. Louis. Two VERY different schools, I know. I've kind of poked around with U of Arizona, Ohio State, and ASU, as well.

I'm really not interested in schools like Julliard or Carnegie Mellon. That may sounds bad (like I'm dedicated to my art.) I just personally don't think it's necessary. So I'm looking for diamond-in-the-rough kind of schools. Schools with good Acting programs that maybe don't always make it onto the radar.

I would appreciate any suggestions or knowledge on any schools you guys think. And HURRY please!!

Thanks :)

I think that Webster is a BFA in acting program which is quote competitive and for which you probably might have already had to have applied (and for which you undoubtedly have to audition) by now for fall 2010 admission. But check on this.

My D has a friend who is a BFA Acting major at Webster and he loves it! They do have a late March audition date for the Acting program and it is not too late to apply for freshman admissions so I am guessing transfers are still open as well. My D is auditioning for them in LA this weekend and is very excited. Best of luck in your search!
