Hi, I am a sophomore in college and, having finished with my first year of college and needing to move, but not having an adequate place to move on to, I am thinking about taking the fall off to better prepare for transfer applications for the winter/spring. Is anyone else doing this? Or am I the freak....

Since I'm finishing all the classes I need this semester I will be taking the spring off. I am doing so mainly because Cornell, my top choice, accepts engineering transfers only in the fall.
How many credits do you have? Its a shame taking a semster or even a year off if you still have classes you can take in your current school.

i've thought about it. i just applied for winter admission so i crammed in the rest of the classes i need into my current fall schedule. so if i don't get in for winter & re-apply for fall, i'll probably either take the spring off or only take 1 or 2 classes. i've read on here about others doing so also.
