TRANSFER STUDENT TO UC/CSU .. I need help!

I go to a community college in California, and I am thinking of transferring to either a CSU or a UC. Here's my question: Do the colleges only look at the general education classes I've taken? (for example: are the grades on my "IGETC" classes only looked at?) or do they look at ALL my classes and the grades I got in them?

Please help. And thank you so much!

Based on the following:

[University of California - California community college transfers](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/transfer/requirements/community-college/index.html)

[CSUMentor - Plan for College - Transfer Students - Upper-Division Grade Requirements](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU)

It appears that all transferable courses are used to calculate GPA for the purpose of transfer admission. See [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) to find out which community college courses transfer and can be used toward majors at UC and CSU schools.
