My daughter is looking to transfer to one of the following schools: Willamette University, University of Puget Sound, or Lewis & Clark College. We have made rushed visits to all three (just information sessions and tours – she hasn’t done any overnights) and really liked all of them. They seemed very similar – beautiful campuses, similar students bodies, and the classes that interest her. She would like to double major (biology and psychology). She is interested in environmental issues, liberal (although she is not dogmatic and has friends from across the spectrum), and rather shy. She loves running (runs about 5 miles every day), but she is not competitive and would not enjoy competing on a track team. However, a campus with lots of safe areas to run would be a plus. I would really appreciate hearing from people more familiar with these schools about their experiences and impressions. I’m interested in quality of teaching, things to do in the area, general vibe, dorms, foods, etc. Thank you for any feedback.
