i just applied to scripps for the fall 2015 school year and I was hoping someone had some info on how this process usually works. How many are admitted? Aid/housing deal? What kind of students do they consider strong?
If I’m not wrong, they admit a few transfer students every year, depending on the openings. Some years there were less than 10 admits, if I remember correctly.
Transfer students aren’t usually guaranteed housing since Scripps is on a housing crunch, but since they’re building a new dorm next year, there might be housing available.
Like with new first-years, Scripps looks for confident, passionate, intelligent women - there’s a certain vibe that they’re looking for and it’s really holistic.
Any idea when we can expect to hear back? I wonder if anyone else on here applied to Scripps as a transfer…
Hey! I applied as a transfer and I am still waiting to find out!
I applied as well I don’t think we are notified until the 15th…such a torturous date!
Rejected. Not surprised. Did any of you guys get in? Congrats if you did!
They told me they would’ve accepted me but they had no room? So they put me on a wait list but I assume that no one will be accepted off the wait list so technically…no scripps
Same thing here. No transfer places available at the moment.
I applied as well and got rejected How do you know there are no transfer places available at the moment? Did they not accept anyone?
Sorry to hear that mtns. The transfer students who were were going to be admitted were told they would be put on a waitlist because at the moment more admitted freshmen committed for Fall and there are no transfer places available.
