Transfer Student

Hi,
Wondering my chances of transfering to Cornell for English.
I am a New York State Resident, I'm not too sure if that helps or not.
My GPA at the end of this semester will be 3.65 perhaps 3.7.
Looking to transfer Fall 2005. A decent amount of EC's, as well as Secretary of one, and founder of the pre-law society. Also work alot...

Any info would be great thanks alot!

bumpety bump

From my experience here so far (both myself and those I've talked to) your college GPA and the classes you take are a major part of your application. If you get a 4.0 but are taking Underwater Basket Weaving 101 or something, it doesn't look so hot. However, taking more challenging courses and still doing well will show them that you can handle college coursework, and so that will help you quite a bit. Good luck!
