<p>wait till the back-to-school sales around July/August. That's when you'll find the most stuff.
You really don't need a lot of the "back to school" dorm stuff they sell - like the big chairs, etc. Dorm rooms are usually small with very limited space. Organization & space utilization are key to making effective use of such a small space. A lot of dorms are also furnished, so all you need are your own bed linens. Also remember that most places have rules against nailing stuff into the walls.</p>
