transfer student

i have over 30 units at a cc and i have yet to take spanish. is it required to take spanish before i transfer to SC or can i just take the spanish courses at SC???

***applying to marshall

Marshall applicants are not required to take a foreign language.

wait are you sure???

i was looking at the website and the categories requirement and it said that you need 3 semester of spanish... but idk you may be right.

heres the link https://camel2.usc.edu/articagrmt/artic.aspx

grey_syntactics is correct. I can't find a statement saying there is no foreign language requirement but if you check the Marshall requirements, beyond the 2 years of high school language, there is no language requirement.
USC Marshall » Forms

Your link does not state that all majors require a third semester of foreign language. Look at-
COURSES THAT FULFILL THE LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:
Many majors require a third-semester foreign language course or equivalent
Marshall is one of those majors that does not.

(other source: two sons in Marshall)

I'm almost certainly sure. That articulation site that you posted applies for the GE pattern but the foreign language requirement varies by school/major.

See here: http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/private/0910/AdditionalCourseRecommendation09.pdf

Look through and you will see that many majors have a circled 'fl' next to them. Those noted require a third semester of foreign language. Business/Accounting does not.

Also, I found this very very helpful website: USC Marshall » Undergraduate Programs » Admissions » Transfer Students

If you scroll down there is a drop-down section where you can put in your current school and it will give you a classess-to-take path. That's awesome actually, I wish every school at USC had this, haha.

ok great!!! that means i dont have to overload another semester during the semester.

oh and btw who would i call at USC for questions like this???
