Transfer student

First post, just curious. I applied for Winter 2010 and am coming from the University of Utah. I am a junior.

Credits: 73 Semester credits

GPA: 3.345

A year and a half of research experience in a Cognitive neuroscience lab (applying for neurobiology).

The majority of the course work was the same type of classes a pre-med student would take. Chemistry through O. Chem 2. A year of calculus, 3 semesters of biology, A year of Physics etc.

Is my GPA too low?

Also, does applying in the middle of the year help or hurt my chances?

I'm sort of just curious where my GPA stands (keep in mind that it's not a high school GPA!!)

Average transfer GPA is 3.39. College Confidential is filled with overachievers (or they wouldn’t be here). They look at average GPA and scores as less than the minimum. But really, if half the people have more than a 3.39 GPA, it also means half the people have less than a 3.39.
