TRANSFER STUDENTS APPLYING AFTER THE NOV. 30TH DEADLINE

Hey, folks!

So I’m sure that I’m not the only transfer student applying during the extended deadline. I would like to know your guys thoughts…

I received an email from Berkeley a few weeks ago stating the following…

“You’ve indicated that you are applying as a transfer student for fall 2017. Please note that the deadline for students filing applications to transfer to UC for fall 2017 will be extended to January 3, 2017, for all UC Berkeley majors, widening the application window for qualified students preparing to transfer to the university.”

I was also told by UCB admissions that they review all applications at the same time, so there really is no such thing as “priority” for applying to UCB before the Nov. 30th deadline.

Anyone else out there applying after the Nov. 30th deadline?

I’m actually in the middle of my application. I’m currently in the academic history part to be exact. I’m just as concerned as you. It’s hard to think that they would actually extend the deadline for transfer applicants. It kind of seems to good to be true.

A lot will be turning theirs in after the original application period.

The period has been extended. Any talk of a “priority admissions period” isn’t relevant to Cal.

I also applied to Berkeley during the extended application period and got my email for the portal so it seems to be going ok so far.
