im an msu student(unfortunately) and i'll be applying to umich as a transfer student. the 2006-2007 year will be my sophomore year at state, and im regretting i didnt apply to transfer my freshman year.

my gpa is a 3.7, and im currently a business major. my high school gpa was a 3.4 with average SAT scores and a 26 on the ACT's. i want to transfer to umich's ross. but the only relevant info i'm finding is for ross's 3 year program. a friend told me there is a two year program for upperclassmen and that the 3 year program is only for incoming freshman? can anyone give me some info on the business program and my chances transferring?

I was wanting to do the same thing as you but people on CC informed me that they only have the 3 year BBA now, so I don't think it's possible to externally transfer into Ross at this point.

they switched from a 2 year program to a 3 year. the maximum amount of credits you can transfer over is 45 and a minimum of 27.

jasheek, if you don't mind spending another year at college, you should apply.

thanks for the info. i guess thats the dilemma. stay one extra year in undergrad at umich. or put up with MSU for 3 more years and go to grad school somewhere reputable.

NONE WhATSOEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

JUST KIDDING!!!! (honestly)

You would have to end up staying for another year at Umich, which I feel would not be worth it for the price, but then again I am out of state and paying tuition fees up my ass so **** that.

First, at MSU, you have hotter girls. Period. Enjoy that.

Why the disdain for MSU?

Oh and I think the percentage of Ross transfers is typically around 5% of the class? 15-18 kids a year?

One of my friends last year from school transfered to LSA during his sophomore year to apply for the 2 year program at Ross and didn't get in. He had very impressive activities and was heavily involved with school organizations. Actually, I dont really know how this story would help you out. Good luck in whatever you decide though.
