<p>Hi I am sophomore and I applied to NEU to the CBA. My current GPA is 3.00. Its low because as I explained in the common app i suffered a major pelvic fracture during my freshman year thats why I got 2.58 freshman spring spring. This fall semester 2011 i got 3.77 and my midterm report for spring 2012 has a 3.8. I hope they understand the injury i had and how it affected my gpa. I have legacy since my older brother graduated from NEU in 2008. I have really good recommendation letters and essay a lot of clubs and activities and I won’t be applying for financial aid since I am an international student. Do you guys think I have any chance of getting in?. Thanks</p>

<p>Hi Rara! Yes I applied as a transfer into the college of social sciences and humanities. When I went online to do my daily status check the admission letter showed up instead of the “we look forward to reviewing your materials” message. And dsterino is right - you should check every day because I too got my decision online before I got the email.</p>
<p>@gherring yes, mine said that until I got my decision two days ago then it just changed into my acceptance letter. I hope that makes sense.</p>
<p>@baba I think you have a good chance of getting in! I too am a legacy. My dad and both of his brothers graduated from NEU back in the 70s and they were all international students (I am not international). Anyway i think NEU really likes legacies, plus you show a tremendous upward grade trade, which will look great for you!</p>

<p>Well I applied before Feb. 15th and they received all of my materials by the Feb. 21st. So I’m guessing if they told you within a couple weeks my decision should be in a few days or within the week. I am eager to see if I get in. I want to know so badly!!!</p>
<p>@neujunkie maybe you should try calling. I called to ask if they received all of my materials and the next day I had my admission decision. If they received all of your materials in February then you should definitely be getting a response very soon. Good luck! I really hope you get in!</p>

<p>I keep reading reviews on NEU and BU and I’m so torn. Both have their pros and cons.</p>
<p>@alexxa13 that would be kinda of a problem right? Because BU gives their responses to Transfers between mid may and mid june and NEU is already sending their responses closing the deposit day may 1st. So there will be no time to balance the pros and cons of BU and NEU. Im telling this because Im also applying to BU and NEU and still no response from NEU, even though I’m confident that Im gonna get in.</p>
