im currently enrolled at a ccc and they are on the quarter system. i applied for fall 2005 to ucla. My question is if you get accepted to UCLA are you expected to maintain your gpa, or just pass your classes with a C, or pass with a B average? the reason why i am asking this is because my last quarter grades weren't that great and i'm starting to get a little worried. if any of you guys have any input please let me know.

for UCSB, they said to maintain your gpa and report any grade lower than a C immediately. It's probably the same for UCLA, but i'm not sure

what do they mean by maintain? what if you had a 4.0 and you happened to get one b or c? would that seriously deny your admissions? i dont get it. In my case, under certain circumstances i was not able to do well last quarter and am starting worry about it bad.

Your GPA will need to be above the point specified when they accept you, which for UCLA will probably be 3.0. So unless you totally blow it, it should not be a problem. In that case you'd have to change your nickname to UNluckyjun127.

haha oh ok. is that 3.0 overall? or a 3.0 every quarter. sorry im just extremely lost and from my experience the counselors at my school are pretty much useless.

Overall. ;)

Relax and focus on doing well, not preparing for failing.
