Does anyone know if prescreens / audition dates are later in the year for college students who hope to transfer to University of Michigans Musical theater program? Obviously, college freshmen can’t know immediately if they don’t like the college they started in at the fall. I have a call into UMICH, but no answer yet.
The dates are exactly the same as those for Regular Decision applicants. U-M rarely glances at transfers for MT, but it’s always worth a shot.
There were three transfers in MT15. I know there was at least one in MT16. They all auditioned at the same time as those looking for admission that same year.
There’s at least one transfer enrolled there now. I think it all depends on what you bring to the table.
