Transfer Students in Harvard

How easy is it to transfer to Harvard from a college or university in Canada? I was just wondering because I would really love to attend Harvard, and my grades are good enough so far, but I need to know how easy it is to get transfered. I haven't been able to find any information on this subject so far, honestly I haven't had a lot of time.

So my questions are:
A) How are my chances of being able to transfer from a University in Canada to Harvard

B) What kind of qualifications would I need in order to transfer

Thanks

im wondering the same things too... did you end up finding some answers during the course of your research looking into transfer info? i find its tough to correlate grades from canadian schools with american GPAs

Most recent stats reported:

Transfer applications received for Fall 2004: 955
Transfer applicants offered admission for Fall 2004: 55
Transfer applicants enrolled for Fall 2004: 55

See also the information here, if you haven't already:

Wow. I know Harvard's got some high enrollment rates, but 55/55 is pretty impressive.

She was a transfer student from Bryn Mawr, and knows a great deal about the process.

hi! i have bad HS grades (3.1, poor SAT score) but i'm determined to go to a community college and get a 4.0 and turn myself around. can i apply to harvard from a CC? how hard will it be to get admitted?

It ain't common, but I don't know the exact stats.

Transfer admissions is extremely difficult at best. No one can tell you if you are going to be admitted or not, but your 3.1 and poor SAT score in high school will definitely hurt you unless you stand out in the applicant pool. Most students actually do not come from community colleges but rather highly selective and well known schools. Hanna, for example, came from Bryn Mawr, a highly regarded school, and two of my friends transferred from Columbia University and Carnegie Mellon, respectively.

The reality is that it is much harder to be accepted as a transfer than as a freshman, but you never know until you try.

Seraphim, what were your EC's, involvement, hooks, GPA like and from what school did you transfer?
