Transfer students - TSI registration bar?

Do any of you have a TSI bar on your registration? I've already taken the TSI exam at my current school and have already completed math and composition credits.

The TSI information page on UT's website states:

"A student is exempt from all TSI requirements under any one of the following conditions:
The student has attended another institution and has been determined to have met readiness standards by that institution."

Send them an email about your TSI requirement. They will look at your transcripts and remove the bar.

propayne is right. You have to petition for the credit. It is not always automatic.

@ Propayne:

I’ll have my Associate’s degree in two weeks, so I should also be exempt. Who do we email? Admissions or an adviser?

Include your EID and name.

Thank you!

I called the TSI office this morning and talked to Joe. He was super friendly and immediately looked over my transcripts and removed the TSI bar. 512-232-8412

I just spoke to him and got mine removed, too. :)

All bars will be removed during orientation.
