Transfer Students: What do you think?

<p>I sent in my application to transfer to Suny Cortland in the fall. Yet i think i wont get in. I have a 2.75. They say you need to have a 2.5.. But it says it is required that transfer students have taken GE courses. I havent finished all of mine but am taking a few this semester. Will they see that? I will still need 1 or 2 GE courses. I am nervous they will see that and reject me.. What do you think? I am a sophmore btw..</p>

<p>I feel i wont get in. Yes my GPA is what they want, but because i dont have my GE done ( i will have most of it done by the fall) and i currently have 40 credits. 57 after this semester. I am really
nervous....</p>

<p>I would also like to say i would be in the Therapeutic Recreation Program at Cortland. I dont know if that would help me. I have great reccomendations and i have volunteer work at nursing homes in recreation department and am a group leader at my current school where we go to nursing homes and do activities with residents.</p>

<p>did you explain why you didn’t do so well? if you can do well next semester and perhaps send in midterm grades to show you’re improving, i think that will help your case. i don’t know how competitive it will be by major, but i don’t think they’re too harsh when it comes to requirements. can you finish them in your remaining time at your current school? would it be possible to take the rest of the requirements over the summer? call them up and tell them that you’re worried and they should be able to help you out. </p>

<p>and then seeing which ones will be a match for you just to have some other options</p>
