Is anyone else here a transfer student, more specifically for fall 2011?

Where are you attending this year?

Marquette and Saint Louis were on son’s radar last year, but not enough merit aid to attend. If he hated his school he’s at, we were going to try to save more so he could maybe transfer in. Unfortunately, the economy is not helping, so we’re happy son is happy to stay put where he is.

But I am interested in how transfer students fare at such schools at Marquette and Saint Louis. Do they accept lots of credits, do they give any kind of merit aid?

What are you studying, by the way?

SLU is still on the radar for grad school, though, since they have son’s program at that level, while his undergrad does not.

I’m currently at Hunter College, in New York City. I’m a little nervous about adjusting to change from New York to SLU.

I was accepted into the business school and I received $12,000 in merit aid (I’m not apply for need based so I cant help you with that, sorry.) Since no one has every transferred from my college before I’m still awaiting the to see how my credits will transfer over. But it seems to me students transferring from Missouri and Illinois schools shouldn’t have too much trouble with their credits.
