Congrats to all of you that were accepted and hang in there if you haven’t heard back yet. Im a current Finance student at LMU’s CBA and would be happy to answer any questions that you guys have. Just post up your questions and I’ll do my best to answer anything lingering questions that you may have.

I applied for transfer back in January. I just heard back a week or two ago. Accepted as a Screenwriting major. Needless to say, I am very excited. Just trying to figure out how I will pay for my education. :

@Psquires How effective would you say the appeal to financial aid is? I have heard a lot of low EFC’s but really high numbers that are expected of the students to pay out. And, in general, how would you rate the generosity of their financial aid?

@backtosocal We all figured that everyone who applied as a transfer had gotten the email in regards to their MyAid account being updated with the tabs and what not. So yeah, that’s not really any notification of being accepted, until you get a letter or change of status on your MyPaw.

@backtosocal, when I got my financial aid award, three new tabs appeared in my MyAid account: My Award, My Parents Plus Loan and My Financing. So there’s a total of 9 tabs.

@nisa thanks for the info! MyLMU has been weird lately with different info showing at each log in. It seems to be flickering on and off on some settings.

Hey all transfer students, I spoke with an admissions counselor today and actually got some good info that I was not aware of, and thought could be useful.
I told the girl that i am in a pickle seeing as my housing application for my current school is due tomorrow, and I dont know where im going to college next year! She looked up my profile and told me that my application was in “final decision stages”, but that no final decision had been made. I applied the first week in March. Also, I asked her about the effectiveness of the MyLMU portal. She told me that your portal changes three days AFTER your letter is mailed…so dont hold your breath on the portal. She also told me they’re been sending out lots of letters this week, hope you all hear (good news) soon!
