Anyone hear anything yet…what have people received so far…any other thoughts comments opinions about the Penn transfer process? All I have received is a blue card confirming the receipt of my application.

I have only recieved the blue postcard as well. As of last week they had not even looked at our applications.

they haven't even looked at them? but, decisions in two weeks! may? right? ahhhhhhhh the wait is unbearable

i applied for transfer to SEAS from clemson university in sc

Thrills: I applied from Brandeis to SAS. I heard that May 1st is sort of a tentative date and that some decisions are made afterwards but I am not expert on the subject. My information is from a transfer student who got in a year or two ago.

anyone else get the green card about missing materials...if you did IGNORE it. I called them today and they said not to worry about it...there was a glitch in the computer system

Hey NYC2012, I got the green card as well.

It's a glitch right? I hope so, let me give them a call.

But do you rmb what you got checked off as missing?

So far, for me... my 2 recs and HS transcript are missing.

Thanks!

Yea I got one of those cards as well and I was also told to disregard it. They were sent out prematurely. My Dean's Report was checked off as missing.

Did they actually make the effort to look at your folder to see if your Dean's Report WAS in fact missing? Or did they just say "Oh, so you got a card, just disregard it."

From my experience with Penn, they are pretty anal and lazy when it comes to actually checking your folder.

The lady did not check my folder. She just told me that the staff had made an error by sending cards out too early and that notification of missing materials would be done via e-mail. I was hoping that she would check it just in case though.

ARgh, what should we make of that then? If she said the card was sent out prematurely, does that mean not all documents have been processed yet?

Well whatever it is, I will call tomorrow and see what they say. I'll get back to you guys on that.

I have only received the blue card as well... I'm applying to SAS from UF as a Physics Major. The wait is killing me, I need to hear from someone... ANYone!

thanks, kkl230. I would really like to know what's going on because decisions are coming up and I want to be sure they have everything thats required(only 2 weeks away...ahhhhhh!)

kkl230, they said I was missing my dean's report and a teacher rec

Just called admissions. They told me the same thing.

Out of curiosity, on your postcard, what is the date they wrote on the corner? Mine says 4/14/05. Based on my recollection, the things that is marked off as missing were actually sent in around February. But the person I spoke with said, out documents had no priority thus they were put on the backburner. He also said at this time, all should have been logged in, and if we don't hear anything in a week or so, we should be fine.

But then again, this isn't such a reliable system. I think it's best to check in a few days again.

EDIT: They didn't bother to check my folder. Argh...but I'm use to this from Penn.

bump bump bump

anyone received their pin yet

Yea, I received a thin letter today (thought it was a rejection) with my login information. You should get one soon.

-Eddie-

it's may 1. where's our decisions?

I really hope that we get them by the end of the week, before school ends.
