Transfer Students?

I'm transferring as a 3rd year from Saddleback College. Any other transfers?

yea Boarder i’m from norcal looking very seriously at transferring to Pepp for this Fall… are you going for sure? Have you visited campus? What is it about Pepperdine that you like? For me it’s the small community, the academics, and of course the location. Have u made ur deposit yet?

Not for sure no. If I get into USC, I’ll attend USC for sure. Otherwise I’m committed to Pepperdine U. I have visited the campus twice and absolutely love it there. The scenery with the beach there, the 13:1 professor to student ratio, the Christian foundation that the school is based upon, and the size of the school. The dorms/campus living is done in a way where you can really get to know people and fellow students.

I already made my 750 deposit and sent in my intent to enroll.

That’s cool, those are the same things I love about it. Just out of curiosity, do you feel that USC is a better school than Pepperdine? If yes, why?

I like both schools, but USC is my number 1. You can’t really compare the 2 in terms of overall due to completely different settings with a small school and a big school, no football team, huge football team, etc. Both have been my dream school but USC is my number 1

waitlisted STILL!!! :frowning: lolz… but got into USC… so yeah… lol

Hey guys! Transfer student right here from, USC!

So where are you guys living next year? off-campus? dorms?

Oh in response to USC vs. Pepperdine:

I love usc, Iv been a brother (frat) here for 2 years, played rugby, participated in many clubs, my girlfriend currently attends; but there were so many things that drove me nuts!!

USC’s location. Is it amazing to go downtown on a nice evening out? yes. But make sure you bring at least 6 friends, and a gun. To much crime, to many deaths at the hands of the locals.

Classroom sizes, if your getting your GE done, be prepared for LARGE lecture halls tons of T.A.'s and no real connection with your professor. Once you finish your GE classrooms drop to about 30 people per teacher.

USC is greedy with their students, they will charge you for everything and anything they can. it almost becomes a joke.

the competition at USC is severe. Some of you may thrive, others may find it difficult to compete with nerdy library worms who do not achieve a social life till after college.

BUT. USC is an amazing school, great social scene, amazing football team, love the tradition, love the local bars, amazingly attractive females, and money, the trojan family truly lives in California…
basically, its individual based? what matters to you? it is YOUR college experience. Consider the type of person you are and where you would enjoy spending the most amount of time.

AAASVAR, you have a PM.

a PM? not familiar with that terminology

Private Message. If you look in the top right corner of your username, it has a link in blue private messages

oh haha sorry, i responded.

boarder did you get into USC?

Crdnlnwhte, no I did not. I’ll be attending Pepperdine in the Fall.
