Transfer switching majors between colleges

So I’m applying for TAG to UC Davis as a junior level computer science major.

If I decide I would rather go into electrical engineering once I get in, would it be
easy to switch colleges assuming I have completed all of the math, physics, and
engineering courses required for electrical engineering?

I’m pretty undecided between CS and EE, leaning more towards engineering,
but unfortunately I can only TAG to CS b/c I have a 3.25 gpa.

Are there any other transfer students here who have gone from L&S to the Engineering college?

Since you said you’ve completed all the math, physics, and engineering courses (I assume you mean all the lower division pre-reqs) for EE, you would pretty much only need to fill out a major petition form during winter quarter (you can’t switch during your first quarter) and get the appropriate signatures (from the advisors and deans of your current college and from the college you want to get into), which is easy to do. I don’t know about acceptance rates into the college of engineering, but for all other colleges, if you want to transfer into them it’s done really quickly—I had a suitemate who switched from the College of BioSci to the College of Agriculture in 3 days (since that was how long it took for administration to handle the paperwork).

Yea it wouldn’t be too hard since you have everything down. It’s easier to get into UCD before you switch to engineering.
