Transfer Texas Tech to UT-Arlington for Electrical/computer engineering

Hello people, I am in kind of a pickle here. I recently enrolled to Texas Tech in spring as a transfer. TTU only transfered 50 of my original credit hours. While Initially when I had applied to Arlington, they had told me I had 80 transferrable credit hours, but will need evaluation based on my major.

Now I am thinking of reapplying to UT arlington, as I feel if they transfer more than what TTU transferred, I could possibly save 1-2 semesters.

How will you rank UTA against TTU for Engineering. Will the time saved be worth going from TTU to UTA? I heard that UTA has a lower ranking than TTU. How much will this matter?

Will I have a better chance to get a job from TTU or UTA (based on the schools reputation). Will staying 1-2 extra semesters at TTU payoff??

Please let me know yalls opinions, I am really confused.

(Sorry for the double posting, I posted in the Engineering thread by mistake)

The first question I would ask myself is, how many of those credits will be applied to your degree in that specific college? Also, how many credits does each university allow to be applied to that degree? For example, some might take 70 credits, however only 60 credits are allowed to be applied to your degree. If that is the case, perhaps you minor in something with those extra credits? Which is what I am planning on doing; majoring in neuroscience but minoring in engineering since I started out as an environmental engineering student. Personally speaking I would choose UTA because of its proximity to big cities–easier to launch into the career world.
